PURPOSE
As Singles
whether by marital status, widowed, divorce or "by choice" our
mission is to fully understand the "divine provision for
singleness". Since the time when Adam realized he was without a
mate, thereby experiencing loneliness, many singles have found themselves in a
similar state. A careful examination of scripture reveals a deep concern for
the "widows and fatherless," individuals who, in their singleness,
might be struggling. Not all singles in our church today are struggling any more
than married couples struggle, but all these singles have special needs.
We believe that singleness is a viable lifestyle and that God provides grace
for living life as a Christian single adult.
To this end our mission is to help singles of all ages build healthy
relationships while growing spiritually with god. By faith we hope to
accomplish our mission through:
- RECOGNIZING
the need and opportunity for ministry TO/WITH singles of all ages.
- REACHING
singles of all ages through persistent prayer, progressive planning,
tactful training and relevant resources.
- RESTORING
singles of all ages to a spiritual and relational wholeness.
- RELEASING
singles of all ages to discover and follow God's plan for their lives.
Being single isn't something to be avoided or remedied because of the stigma
attached - but it's easy to feel out-of-place in a world that seems to be
geared toward couples. Our purpose and mission is to encourage the church
and most especially the singles of the church to reach out to one another in
fellowship and Godly support -because relationships need to be nurtured.
Regardless as to why you are single, God has and always will have a mission for
you. "And we know that all things work together for good to them
that love God, to them who are called according to His purpose" (Romans
8:28). If you know your purpose in Christ - the Singles need you - if you
don't, you need the Singles.
We welcome singles of all ages and ENCOURAGE you to
"Stir up the gift of God in you"
